Hi Brandon, Yes! If the media would only suggest a health lifestyle!! The images of men and women being perfect, is just not mentally healthy for some. Like me at times! : )

The media is making me crazy with the constant message of obesity. This constant message of lose weight, exercise more, possibly will create more eating disorders. I could not imagine being in my 20's with the constant bombardment. Knowing my mindset back then, I wonder how I would of been effected. What a sad thing for the youth of today, there is too much pressure.

About 20 years ago we had two wolf hybrids. They each received a Parvo shot at 4 months. Those two puppies laid around for over a week as sick as could be with puss coming out of their eyes and noses. They never received another shot again. In the past 25 years we have had probably over a hundred cats and none ever received any shots. All were outsdide cats and most of their diet was rodents and a couple of times a week I would give them raw beef melts and raw milk. None were ever sick. We did have one get trapped in our freezer one night and was probably in there for 12 hours, by the time I found her. She was about 3 months at the time. I took her straight to the Vet and she came out of it OK, except that her tail had to be amputated because it froze. The Vet did a write up in the local paper about "The Freezer Cat."

I don't think a Chiwalla is a dog. Is it? :) This could be a low risk case. While ago Mercola had article on how washing paws (hands) stops viruses spreading in their tracks. Wash with a good natural soap. :) Oh I just kill myself with laughter..............

I doubt we should use the Amish folk as a good basis for example. They may not have autism (probably due to the large genetic factor involved in autism) but they do suffer more from dwarfism (Ellis-van Creveld syndrome), various metabolic disorders, and unusual distribution of blood-types. All genetic diseases rarely seen in the general population are rife in Amish groups due to their inbreeding. So don't use them as an example of healthy living.

Infections are still the biggest killer all over the world, and if we can prevent these by vaccination we should.

ADHD (which generally cures itself once a child reaches adulthood) and if it doesn't, the children tend to find their own ways to deal with it, or measles or mumps or rubella or cervical cancer or any of the other diseases that CAN and DO kill and severly maim. I have also found, working as a pharmacy technician that those with ADHD who are on Ritalin etc, are the ones who end up being heroine and methadone addicts. So I don't believe this rubbish spouted on this site.

Parents, listen to the evidence and get your children vaccinated.

Ive opted out of all the dog vaccines except for rabies. The cats get none since they don't go outside and are not in real contact with the dogs. We've been trying to watch their diets

more closely and this is just another new thing to watch out for. When the dogs got their last package of raw meat (for dogs) from Earth Fare it was gone almost instantly. They have

each been getting at least one fried hamburger a day.

Is parvo a really big threat in your area? When was the last time your vet treated a dog for parvo? Also, are they giving your dog the same amount of vaccine as they would a

St. Bernard? Martin Goldstein has a really good book on holistic pet care (Amazon.com). I didn't read it front to back, but I have looked up a lot of stuff in it. There's also one titled

"Stop the Shots" which may also be helpful.

I have found that if I take a D 3 supplement of 2000 IU a day, I do not just get relief from flu during the flu season, but I also get a year round benefit of improved mood and cheerfulness, and fewer bouts of asthma.

I have noticed that regular use of Sublingual B Complex, including B 12 at more than 1200 mcg per day, as well as doses of niacin of 20 mg, Riboflavin of 1.7 mg. and B-6 of 2 mg have improved my mood, and made me feel more cheerful.

I have read that Acetominophin overdoses take 3 days to go into effect and, once it is done there is nothing that the ER can do to save you-- irreversable fatal damage done.

Narcan is not going to save you with this one.

Last year, we got our Chihuahua "Pablo" his annual series of shots... he was so sad and depressed for 3 days.

Never again.

Not sure what to do about the parvo vax now.

Any thoughts anyone?

Oh. BTW Whole Foods Market sells fantastic dogfood absent of stuff like fluoride.

No offense, but this is going to take a lot more than prayer. Start phoning your Governors and Senators, let your elected members know how you feel. Do not let them make the swine flu vaccine mandatory! As of today the PHAC (Canada) is saying it will not be mandatory, but that can always change. I'm waiting for a call back from PHAC over my concerns that this was concocted in a lab, will post the response when I get it.
