Grassroots Campaign Working to Identify GM Foods

If you read my eHealthy News You Can Use newsletter often, you're all too aware of the plague of genetically modified (GM) foods that have tainted our world's food supply and how their growth has affected our environment in a number of unexpected and terrible ways.

Because there's always strength in numbers, you'll want to take a look at The Campaign Web site (free link below), a grassroots political action committee that was formed to lobby Congress to pass legislation that requires the labeling of genetically engineered foods in this country.

To that end, The Campaign expects U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) to reintroduce legislation (The Genetically Engineered Food Right to Know Act) he championed in the House some two years ago. I urge you to check out this page on their site as a means to remind your Congressman about the importance of this vital health issue.

Meanwhile, here's some positive steps you can take to protect the health of you and your family:

  • Read all produce and food labels.
  • Buy organic produce.
  • Read all produce stickers.
