Chiropractic Produces Better, Safer, Cheaper Results

No wonder baby boomers are flocking in droves to chiropractors in droves. A new study, comparing chiropractic along side conventional medical care, determined the former to be more effective physically -- and in the pocketbook -- when it comes to treating chronic low-back pain

Researchers studied some 2,800 patients with low-back pain in the Pacific Northwest who were treated with physical therapy, spinal manipulation, exercise planning and self-education by their chiropractors versus conventional care consisting of referrals to physical therapists, self-care advice, exercise and prescription drugs.

Although office visits for chiropractic treatments were more expensive, factoring in costs for advanced imaging and referrals to other providers on the conventional side alone, chiropractic care costs remained 16 percent lower than that of traditional medicine.

In both acute and chronic patients, chiropractic was the optimal choice when it came to reducing pain and disability more effectively as well as higher overall satisfaction too.

As you know, I'm a strong believer in traditional chiropractic philosophy which places strong emphasis on your body's innate healing abilities and far less on needless drugs and medical procedures. For common sense suggestions for finding a good chiropractor in your area, I urge you to review some great tips from Dr. Christopher Kent.
