Mental Health Bible Tainted by Drug Company Connections

Why has it taken so long for people to begin to accept how worthless and health-harming antidepressants really are? Once again, it's connected to conventional medicine's financial ties to the greedy mega-drug companies, according to a new study.

Many of the so-called experts who developed the standard manual conventional medicine uses to diagnose mental illness -- The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) -- never acknowledged their financial connections to drugmakers.

Even worse, a number of committees reviewing conditions that they claim required drug intervention (mood disorders and schizophrenia) were completely filled with "experts" paid by drug companies.

Fifty-six percent of the 170 medical "experts" who worked on the DSM were tied to at least one drug company, if not more. And, more than 80 percent of the medical professionals working on recommendations for disorders ranging from anxiety to medication-induced movement were receiving drug company money. (Supposedly, the next edition to be published in 2011 will disclose these financial connections in print or on the Web.)

We've known for a long time conventional medicine is in cahoots with the mega-pharmaceuticals to sell you more drugs to "cure" those conditions -- both real and imaginary -- at great risk to your overall health. Just know, you have far safer, healthier and cheaper options to treat your mental health, without the need for any drug, on my Web site.
