How to Find Farmers' Markets: Your Best Source for Fresh Produce

Without question, your best nutritional value will be locally grown organic produce. The freshest, healthiest, most flavorful organic food is typically what's grown closest to you. The challenge: Purchasing it for a reasonable price.

I have enormous respect for Whole Foods and Wild Oats as they have great integrity and provide a valuable service. But I have many people refer to Whole Foods as Whole Paycheck because their prices are so high.

Eventually, I would like this site to help connect people with better and less expensive sources of nutrition. I have listed the following two resources below to help you find farmers' markets, family farms and other sources of sustainably grown food in your area, where you can buy produce, grass-fed meats and many other goodies.

If you are a farmer or market manager, or run a business related to locally-grown food, you can add your listing to the local harvest directory at no charge.
