How to Eat Healthy on the Road

Because I log a great deal of frequent flier miles every year, I've learned to take some simple precautions to protect my health away from home, like taking a high-quality probiotic, especially on international trips, and paying attention to the source of the water and ice flight attendants serve in drinks.

Discovery Health recently unveiled their own list of the top 10 rules to keep the road warrior in your life healthy, a number of which mirror my own.

  • Maintain your exercise regimen.
  • Plan the meals you eat more carefully before you fly.
  • Avoid eating late at night.
  • When eating at a restaurant, do it wisely and stay away from processed foods as much as you can.
