The FDA's Latest Health-Harming Stance on Mercury

Just another example why you shouldn't trust the FDA at all when it comes to matters regarding your health: Its crazy, health-harming attitude toward mercury, the potent toxin still found in many vaccines and dental amalgams.

For starters, the agency rejected a petition filed two years ago by the Coalition for Mercury-Free Drugs to place new limits on the use of the mercury-based preservative thimerosal in vaccines and other medicines. No surprise at all, the ruling comes on the heels of a federally funded study in today's Journal of the American Medical Association that found flu shots are safe for toddlers and babies.

Interesting then, that an FDA advisory committee found the results of a recent staff report suggesting dental amalgams were safe was "unreasonable," largely due to the lack of research about how they affect pregnant women, children and immune-compromised patients, among others. Of course, that lack of evidence excuse is ridiculous all by itself, considering the CDC and the U.S. Public Health Service have identified amalgams as a major source for mercury exposure in humans.

If you remain at all skeptical to the harm mercury can do, and may have already done, to your and your children, I urge you to do your own research, starting by reviewing the body of evidence I've already posted on my Web site.
