Was This Cancer Drug Ad Meant to Deceive You?

The U.S. FDA has warned GlaxoSmithKline that a cancer drug ad it ran, plus a Web site promoting a bladder treatment, were "false or misleading."

The Wall Street Journal says that:

“... an advertisement that ran in a cancer medical journal involving Glaxo's drug Arzerra omitted ‘important information about the drug's safety and effectiveness.’”

The ad did not mention Arzerra by name, but did include characteristics which made it clear that it was the drug in question.
