Five Minutes Outdoors Can Boost Your Self Esteem

Just five minutes of outdoor exercise each day can improve your mental health. Researchers found that "green activities" such as walking, gardening, cycling or farming can boost mood and self esteem.

The scientists looked at data taken from more than 1,200 people of different ages and mental health status.

Reuters reports:

“They found that the greatest health changes occurred in the young and the mentally ill, although people of all ages and social groups benefited. The largest positive effect on self-esteem came from a five-minute dose of ‘green exercise.’”
