Eating Nuts Can Lower Your Cholesterol

Eating nuts may help lower cholesterol levels. A review of 25 studies showed eating a small bag of nuts each day, on average, can reduce cholesterol levels by 7.4 percent.

Nuts may help prevent the absorption of cholesterol.

However, BBC News cautions:

“... experts said the research showed nuts were an important part of a healthy diet, but warned against eating nuts covered in sugar or salt.”
