How to Get Yourself Out of a Rut

  1. Work on small tasks. Reply to your emails, organize your documents, or declutter your work space.
  2. Leave. Get away from your desk and go take a walk.
  3. Upgrade yourself. Do something to improve yourself.
  4. Talk to a friend. Get your mind off work for a while.
  5. Don’t try to be perfect. Do what you can, at your own pace.
  6. Paint a vision. Think about why you are doing this, and what you are doing it for.
  7. Read a book. The things you read are like food for your our brain.
  8. Have a nap. Take about 20-30 minutes.
  9. Remember why you are doing this. Reconnect with your muse.
  10. Find some competition. If you are out of ideas, then check up on what other people are doing.
  11. Exercise. Jog, swim, cycle, whichever you prefer.
  12. Take a good break. Arrange for a 1-day or 2-day break from your work.
