Monsanto Spent Half a Million in U.S. Elections and Got Ten Candidates Elected

This year, Monsanto spent close to $500,000 on the 2010 mid-term elections. Ten of the candidates they supported won their races, while only five of their candidates lost.

The candidates who won election included Roy Blunt (R-MO) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA), who each received $10,000, Mike Crapo (R-ID), who received $9,250, Rob Portman (R-OH) and David Vitter (R-LA), each of whom received $5,000, and Daniel Inouye (D-HI), who received $7,000.
