Depressed, Drugged College Freshmen on the Rise

A comprehensive annual survey of full-time college students has concluded that the emotional health of college freshmen has dropped to its lowest level in 25 years.  The survey included 200,000 students.

College counselors also are reporting more students who are under stress, depressed and on psychiatric medications.  Often, they are already taking these drugs before they even arrive on campus.

According to ABC News:

“By the time many of these high school students arrive at college, they are already on psychiatric drugs such as antidepressants and the stimulant used for attention deficit disorder, Adderall.”
