A Prescription for Fear

It's hard to find a medical website which contains no hysteria and no drug peddling -- just good medicine and good ideas.  In part, this is because the medical web is dominated by WebMD, which, according to the New York Times:

"... has become a panicky byword among laysurfers for 'hypochondria time suck.' In more whistle-blowing quarters, WebMD is synonymous with Big Pharma Shilling."

In investigation into WebMD's relationship with drug maker Eli Lilly confirmed that WebMD, thanks to its corporate connections, is rife with pseudomedicine and subtle misinformation.
