Spice in Curry Helps Treat Cancer

Turmeric, a spice used in curry and mustard, may help treat cancer.  Researchers found that curcumin, turmeric's active ingredient, helped alleviate the inflammatory response caused when cancer takes root in the body.

Treatment involving curcumin has had promising results in human clinical trials, the researchers say.

According to KNST790:

"It has the promise of being an important life-extending therapy, particularly for non-curable pancreatic cancer, suggested by the very promising results ... achieved for 20 pancreatic cancer patients."
