One fact, many lives have been lost and no one can argue that point. Knowing all options and possibilities to sort so people can determine, individually, how to protect themselves.

People have various opinions and needs when considering school issues so having options sounds like the best idea, .just as people should be free to make decisions about health for self.

An article I read suggested US schools will likely be used as a vaccination place ? I don't know. Another article suggested schools will have tele med for students.. I don't know how all of that is suppose to work, or fact check, but aren't parents suppose to be overseeing health issues ? How to understand how schools are involved with medical care ?

Also, I read a while back that there is added worry with the virus in polluted areas.. If so, I don't know how much pollution Sweden has to compare with areas in the US when comparing to find the best approach.

The best I can tell, there are also countries, other than Sweden, doing a better job using methods other than herd immunity. Herd immunity or go into herd immunity at a later time when how to treat, if necessary has been better determined. Whether from an alternative, conventional, political, or other, the idea should be to save lives. When imminent, there isn't always time to wait for herd immunity to take hold, especially if there is an enhanced lab bio ..

For me, that's like facing war. I disagree with "it is what it is" and encouraging large gatherings. At the same time, I disagree with trying to force people to take injections. If schools are used to try to force injections then it doesn't sound like people are going there to learn how to think for themselves. For now, treatment, alternative and convention, if necessary, is the best hope.

So YES - we should adopt the Swedish model: healthcare for all, a living wage where all can have a healthy home and afford to take vacations, good education and good nutrition.

In about 3 years when we are able to look back on historical statistics we will be able to determine who make the best decisions - and it won't be the people hiding in their basements.

Even reporting the virus in the media causes problems such as panic shopping and avoidance of events with lots of people. One issue is that virtually 100% effective precautions (e.g. hazmat suits) are impractical and costly for large groups of people. Also, people need to continue to work in order to make money to purchase necessities and pay bills. A virus or any communicable disease is largely an act of God. It is true that preventative measures, such as vitamins C and D are effective. THAT information should be publicized.
