Specifically, only 86 of 658 cases were actually due to COVID-19, and even then, those were listed as “COVID

re: Florida: Most COVID-19 Deaths in Palm Beach County Are Not Due to COVID Alone

You, yourself have stated that less than 10% of the public is in excellent health. Blood sugar and insulin levels alone contribute to the effects of Covid19. Add to that previous smoking, heart conditions, auto immune conditions, obesity, and more, one could see there was a situation. The question is, had the patient not had Covid19, would they still be alive? The answer in most of these cases, I would say, is “yes”. Add to this the well intentioned federal act of helping medical facilities cover increased expenses of treating this virus, you have a perfect storm for insurance fraud. And the large corporations running these hospitals in Palm Beach County are all on board for this. So it’s a two edged sword. Nobody’s going after hospital administrators for fraud. So what the heck. Nevertheless, the numbers probably are more correct than incorrect.
