They all got mild cases. Much better than a vaccination. My daughter's sister-in-law was a nurse in a pediatric office. She said they were getting cases of shingles in children who had been given the chicken pox vaccine. From my understanding, you get an immunity boost when your children have chicken pox, so you're less likely to get shingles. Since these kids have a poor imitation of the real thing, they are susceptible to shingles at an early age, and the parents didn't get their booster from sick kids, so more adults are getting shingles.

Heck, 35 years ago when one kid got it in school, we would have chicken pox parties so all the kids would get it. I was also kind of happy to get it also because I got a few days off school. I had a little bit of itch here and there but nothing bad at all.

The way I see it, all this vaccine is, is another way for big pharma to make money. I just wonder what will happen to these kids later in life who have gotten the chicken pox vaccine. I was pretty upset with my ex-wife when she had given my daughters the vaccine and well all of the vaccines. We were never on the same page on that.

Funny think about my shingles was that it began with pulsating ear ache . I went to a satellite emergency center for ear ache and with few spots of Shingles eruptions on my one hand only . The new resident doc said it may be contact dermatitis . She gave me antibiotic which didn’t help . So next day my daughter admitted me to hospital emergency where they correctly diagnosed And put me on anti viral . But the interesting thing is that my ear pain went away and the ENT couldn’t see any shingles virus damage to my ear . So now when my other ear aches like the first one before , I just begin taking the lysine and zinc and the pain goes away . Lysine works well to inhibit the Herpes group ( including Herpes zoster ) and Zinc is needed for boosting innate immunity against such resident viruses

Our vaccine doesn't really work the way we thought/said it does!" From personal experience (and I know, I have posted this on the blog before) the flu and shingles vaccines DO NOT WORK! Both my husband and I took flu shots (the elder more potent ones) in 2018--he got a mild case of the flu and i got 2 full blown cases, with one sending me to the hospital with pneumonia. The doctor and the nurses said that the pneumonia was a direct result of having the flu. Thank you flu vaccine!!! I had chicken pox when I was a kid (like most of my friends) and later in life (when I was in my 50's) I got shingles. Needless to say they were horrible. But then my PCP advised getting the shingles shot if I didn't want to get them again. So, idiot me, I listened and took the shingles vaccine (at $250!!!) and it did nothing but make the lingering pain and itch WORSE!!! Thank you shingles vaccine!!! So, when they start with the vaccine thing with me they will get not just a "NO." But a "HELL, NO!!!"

The UK doesn't have it on the childhood schedule, because: "There's a worry that introducing chickenpox vaccination for all children could increase the risk of chickenpox and shingles in adults. While chickenpox during childhood is unpleasant, the vast majority of children recover quickly and easily. In adults, chickenpox is more severe and the risk of complications increases with age. If a childhood chickenpox vaccination programme was introduced, people would not catch chickenpox as children because the infection would no longer circulate in areas where the majority of children had been vaccinated. This would leave unvaccinated children susceptible to contracting chickenpox as adults, when they're more likely to develop a more severe infection or a secondary complication, or in pregnancy, when there's a risk of the infection harming the baby.

We could also see a significant increase in cases of shingles in adults. When people get chickenpox, the virus remains in the body. This can then reactivate at a later date and cause shingles. Being exposed to chickenpox as an adult (for example, through contact with infected children) boosts your immunity to shingles. If you vaccinate children against chickenpox, you lose this natural boosting, so immunity in adults will drop and more shingles cases will occur." www.nhs.uk/.../chickenpox-vaccine-questions-answers
