I am classified as a "farmer", so I am part of "the critical infrastructure". This allows me to travel freely between different parcels of my land. I can often do other chores and shopping en route. In that respect, not much in my life has changed. Harvest and hunting seasons are my busiest time of year, so I do not get to town often. I am busy outdoors or in the kitchen. I have been busy filling our pantry. My canning and dehydrating is done for a while--until near the frost. So now, I must get carboys of wine bottled. No one supervises contact between neighbors, either. Our only obstacle has been govt restrictions on certain kinds of commercial activities... also, not providing permits in a timely manner or having employees working in govt offices to process paperwork.

Harvest is winding down as we turn our attention to meat supply. That involves hunting, butchering, curing and smoking. I want mostly canned meat this year because it is shelf-stable and I can just open a jar for a fast easy meal. Canning tenderizes meat. I will freeze sausage, tenderloins and roasts. What is left in gardens will, ideally, hold until near the frost. Root crops and the last of cabbages will be sweeter after cold nights. That will go into cold storage and not require further processing other than trimming and cleaning. I may freeze a bit, too.

I do not place much confidence in masks, so to comply, I use a clear plastic face shield so I can breathe. As soon as I find time, I will restock my pantry and supplements for the next year. That is on my "to do list". I am already in pretty good shape. I can order just about everything online at a discount. Here is a word to the wise. As you harvest your garden, continue to save your heirloom seed. Anticipate seed shortages due to forest fires that have affected growers. Most seed is grown on the West coast and repackaged elsewhere by companies under their own names. Restock canning lids this winter

Technocracy is a too soft word to describe the thuggery and criminality of these people. It is truly an act of tyranny. Far worse that technocracy.

A common phrase that I see so many people using today is; "Stay Safe". I do "stay safe"; but not in their context. I stay safe by not buying into this fraud, taking care of my health and thinking for myself...so radical!
