Until May 26, I imagined our state and US constitutions guaranteed free speech, but then I learned that's only if the Sheriffs, police, mayors, commissioners, governors, legislators, justices, etc, choose to do their sworn duty. "Every person may speak, write and publish his sentiments on all subjects but shall be responsible for the abuse of that right. No law shall be passed to restrain or abridge the liberty of speech or of the press. . . . " - Constitution of the State of Florida, Article I, Declaration of Rights, Section 4. Freedom of speech and press. I like that it says "NO LAW shall be passed to restrain or abridge the liberty of speech or of the press. . . ." Unfortunately many people in positions of power and authority (lying Sheriff officer, for example), can do as they wish. I can like what it says all I want, but it simply is not going to make a difference in the way lawless "ministers of the law" choose to abuse their powers. In the USA the freedom has certainly been abused by those news sources that have been publishing hysteria-promoting lies.
