This is almost ridiculous. The flu disappeared, but covid is starting to sky rocket. Duh! Additionally, it's common knowledge that the annual flu shots have a somewhat ineffective track record. But this new covid vaccine, I guess, is supposed to be the Lexxus of vaccines. Multiple boosters are being planned. That sounds like an easy way out for any dissension that claims the vaccine didn't work. The MSM Medical Mafia will proclaim that it won't be fully effective until the entire battery of boosters has been administered. In the mean time Big Pharma will continue to roll in the $$$. Sounds like a big money hustle to me. STILL NO TALK ABOUT BUILDING IMMUNITIES THROUGH NUTRITION !

Agree with JGB123. I heard about the new "PIC", which I think also includes the dreaded "CLI" Covid-Like Illness, that drives up the numbers in the weekly state Covid activity maps the CDC puts out. Here in NJ testing is everywhere and nearly everyone has been tested at least once already, so how can any illness be "Covid-like" if the tests are so easy to get - 3 kinds no less - and the assay tests for the flus have been around forever? It somehow doesn't seem quite forthright.

Somehow it seems you are forgetting the main issue of excess hospitalizations and therefore lack of acute care in many areas in the US whether its from covid or any other need to go to the hospital. Hopefully, eventually this will be "like" the flu, but right now it is not and needs to be addressed. "One life lost is a tragedy, the death of millions a statistic", Stalin. Really.

I previously was able to obtain annual mortality figures from influenza, pneumonia and “COVID-19” up until Sepember 2020 but now finding it difficult to access this information from the Office of National Statistics. Reference tables showed the statistics for those diseases but the figure for influenza in 2020 does not appear.

The number of deaths attributed to covid is relatively low compared to other years when you eliminate false positive testing, the absence of seasonal flu cases now attributed to covid and the fraudulent numbers submitted to obtain larger $amounts$ of reimbursement and funding. There are many people profiting from covid and they have incentive to inflate numbers.
