Basically the lack of a definitive negative answer [Which is very common. (i.e. More study will need to be done to confirm.)] or one like "Well the risk is low, but it's not zero." is designed to scare people into taking precautions which are unwarranted, and it also creates a vector for the spread of fear created by half-truths or truth not put into proper perspective. It plays into the errors created by the availability bias and probability neglect. The fact that a study is done suggests that someone sees that there could be a problem.

Mainstream was reporting in late Spring 2020 that CDC was saying newborns should be separated from their mamas who test positive (symptoms or not) and also mamas who refuse to take a test. I thought mama bears would shoot this down but unbelievably it's happened (not through force - but coercion); I know of two that underwent "separation periods". I asked how is that acceptable, & the answer was cost. Insurance company (according to what I was told) won't pay the hospital/birthing center unless the mother consented.

2. BUT, what about breastfeeding? We know so many antibodies get transferred through breast milk, especially the colostrum (in the first few days). Those mothers tried pumping (with little success). Have studies been done on "Covid-19 positive" mothers, if antibodies are present &/or passed along in their breastmilk?

The risk of severe illness and death is so low anyway. Would be better if they'd handled this by ignoring this.
