I am over 65 and have at least 2 co-morbidities, so I have gotten the vaccine. I've seen what this super-flu can do to people my age, up to and including death. However, if I was under the age of 50 there's no way I would get the vaccine.

The number vaccinated so far is minuscule, maybe around 3% of the population. 100 million doses would only cover 1/3 of the population of the US. this article is not clear whether that refers to one dose or 2 doses. Further, pharmaceutical companies have decided to sell much of the vaccine outside of the US. So, in 100 days, we are talking about by early June. No way is this going to realistically reach 70% of the population any time soon to create alleged herd immunity. None of this is a workable plan. Might as well just scrap the whole thing... except pharmaceutical companies have a product to sell where payment is guaranteed by govt. Summer will come and cases of covid should naturally decline. If we are lucky, Biden will take credit for ending the pandemic. Most of us will remain unvaccinated and the whole vaccination scheme may be dropped and discontinued. I sure hope so.
