They obviously didn't study Australian and New Zealand where lockdowns have not only worked well, we have relative freedom. We wears masks some of the time (eg. supermarkets where social distancing becomes difficult). Big deal. If this helps contain community transmission (which it has) then I'm all for it. We also closed our international borders which I believe is VITAL to not only containing but eliminating Covid and community transmission. Those entering Aust. must spend 14 days in quarantine on arrival. The 10 days now implemented by the UK is not long enough for symptoms to appear.

Why was this study so restricted in the number of countries? Many in the Southern hemisphere did well with lockdowns.
