It's not seasonal as such - it's due to Vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency is central to the whole pandemic. Cases will fall in the summer months and will rise again in the autumn and winter. Vitamin D deficiency also explains why certain sectors - the BAME community, the obese, men and the elderly are all more badly affected. Numerous scientific studies point to it. Why is it being ignored? The same was true in the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic. Deaths were higher in areas with least sunshine.

Seasonal? How nice for Big Pharma. 6 billion doses of vaccine annually. At what cost? I need to call my stock broker at 9:30.

Scientist... took long time to figure out the obvious - It's a new flu... Life is not about waiting 'til downpour is over. It is about learning to dance under the rain 👌

We need a vaccine for paranoia now....

I would agree. We had our first hit that peaked here in AZ in middle of July. the data shows a typical bell curve of a virus in that time period. then "cases" started to rise in november. and not surprisingly, the flu all but disappeared. I tried several times to talk to people about this - every year for hundreds of years the flu arrives here in november and peaks around end of december. But suddenly this year it is below 95% of previous years. No one seemed to make the connection or questioned the disconnect. I truly believe the "second wave" here is really flu. Why would nature suddenly contradict itself?

But it hit several countries in the middle of hot weather, and didn't get worse in winter. We have had nearly a year of this virus - three seasons - and temperature seems to make little difference

And since influenza appears to have mysteriously vanished from statistical analyses and the so called COVID-19 virus with its mutations and seasonal fluctuations, infection and death rate, age and co-morbidity death rate is the same as the flu, there are multiple reasons to suppose that it is the flu or a common or garden respiratory cold virus resembling the flu. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
