This article doesn't point out that outbreaks of COVID, along with deaths, have occurred in nursing homes AFTER vaccination programs began. This has happened not only in the UK but other countries as well.

Perhaps we are seeing evidence that God has a sense of humor. The best laid plans and all of that... So many vaccination sites had vaccines shipped to them and were prepared to start injecting. Then, the snow and cold weather hit much of the country. So much is closed. A reminder of the importance of humility when dealing with nature. These are the days Native Americans called "the story telling time". When it was cold and snow piled deep, they would sit beside the fire. (Hopefully with plenty of food and firewood.) They would say inside their tipis or long houses and tell story of times past... heros, great battles, acts of courage, good hunts... This was not only entertainment, but cultural education in the form of oral history.

I remember getting our first tv when I was young. It was black and white with 3 channels. We were not allowed to watch constantly and our viewing was monitored. Homework was done first. We were generally not allowed to watch every day and were sent outside to play of do chores after school. Tv was mesmerizing, but not as much as being outdoors. Adults might watch the evening news, esp. if they wanted a weather forecast when a storm was expected. After that, we might be allowed to watch a program of our choosing before bedtime, but not every night. Adults had the final say.

In those days, what we still looked forward to the most was story tellers. A few men in the community were gifted. They put time into preparing to spin a good yarn. They were not paid, but were esteemed guests at school picnics or church events. "Please tell us a story!", we begged, knowing they would. We packed ourselves in tightly, hanging onto every word. Wide-eyed were were. Our favorites were always ghost stories, but we were also fascinated by stories of foreign lands. "Long ago and far away in a place that time forgot..." We had more work than play--and fewer toys--but I think we enjoyed our play more than children of today. More relied on our imagination

How many people in nursing homes or LTC facilities are low in Vitamin D? At least 80% according to some studies. Even more if you have darker skin. Now add in the multiple medications they are on which deplete vital essential nutrients which if low in opens Pandora's Box to new illnesses which will require another medication and then more illness or side effects and again more medications. A real Catch-22. This is also true for the general public but to a lesser extent. There is a reason younger kids are less likely to contract Covid. They are not yet on statins/bp meds/diuretics /etc except for a few but those (80+) are dying in droves. Some say 50% or more of all Covid deaths are from LTC centers.

If you have a loved one in a LTC center ask the doctors what your family members Vit. D level is? I'll wager they don't know. Ask if they get a good quality multivitamin AND mineral at least a few times a week. Same with probiotics. If not ask if you can buy some and give it to them. Of course a few will not be able to take because it may interfere with the multitude of medications they get. But it won't hurt and could save a family members life or in the very least give them a better quality of life.

in order to inspire better given the limitations posed by the face mask, I find I must breathe through my mouth instead of my nose which opens the door to any virus out on a stroll. Has anyone noticed that?

I believe the average nursing home stay is about 10 months, and unfortunately most end in death. This needs to be kept in mind when looking at those death statistics.

If you look at the data for deaths before the vaccine was roll out in the uk deaths in nursing homes where sitting at a low rate since the vaccine deaths and infections have risen by 80% and still the uk government won't look to see if it is anything to do with the vaccine roll out which you would think they would at least look at but no so i hope and pray that boris and co will be held to account for all these deaths.

The vaccine is not a protective measure or 6 feet away or lock downs or masks. The vaccine is weaponized like the virus. Masks don't stop a virus/incubate germs/lower oxygen. Lock downs lower sunlight maybe which helps the immune system and isolates which hurts people. 6 feet away was for figuring out how you are by camera etc..

Prevention maybe Zn/Mg/fish oil/Vit C/Vit A/herbs/mushrooms/onion/garlic/sunlight/beaches/hugs/God etc.. Drugs/ventilators may be money makers, but hurt them. Ventilators may kill almost all?
