If I was that coach, I would milk my unemployment benefits to the max. Then I would get an attorney to represent me in litigation of this insane firing. Perhaps Mr Keyes can find an attorney that would best represent him by contacting Robert Kennedy's CHD website. Mr Kennedy is an attorney himself. I'm sure he has a network of competent associates all over the globe.

He should fight back with a lawsuit. The cause of action would be unjust discharge in violation of public policy. He could get a preliminary mandatory injunction that would force them to reinstate him.

I would hope that all coaches would step up and do the same. It is ludicrous to require any living breathing being to cover their mouths while needing more oxygen. Good for him and may his tribe increase!

As someone who grew up near Concord, MA, I recall how every year on April 19th, the people of Concord and surrounding towns celebrated Patriots' Day, a Massachusetts holiday that remembered the start of the War of Independence and the battle at the "rude bridge that arched the flood" commemorated by the poet H.W. Longfellow and the midnight ride of Paul Revere. There used to be a re-enactment of the battle at the Old North Bridge, with many enthusiastic people walking the same roads the revolutionary citizen farmers took to get there, some as much as 6 miles. Well, we've fallen a long way since then, unfortunately, when today freedoms and common sense are being trampled upon. I think the citizen patriots of 1775 would be ashamed of us.

You are actually following the science concerning the masks. Hope the parents have the balls to stand up to the school. Better yet the students should Boycott the track team! Prays for you and your family...

This isn't 'new'. Just a new tactic & excuse to sort out public school employees still attached to truth & woke to him rather than to blindly following men, flesh & devils. I knew a guy who sold his contracting business, used the proceeds to live on & pay for an education degree outright so that he could work & vo-ed and maybe help some kids. First thing we noticed was his change in attitude & connection to Christ wrought by his undermining, brainwashing, psychomaniac education. Lost all perspective of how parents had been conditioned into sin like so many others, & suffered as the children were suffering, & blamed every ill of the 'stupid' and 'ignorant' parents....while he geared up to participate in the very system that made it worse than it's ever been by ghettoizing the preaching of God's word, dumbing down & fostering rebellion behind parents' overly trusting backs! What he was witnessing was a few generations in.

But he went in & the kids won local, State & regional awards several years running, did work for public union parks gratis (big no-no). A few got off drugs, got married after graduation...more big no-no's. Whole system is geared to justifying government takeover by creating crisis. Did not renew his contract, busted him to afternoon shift janitor to keep retirement (you lose ss etc when you become 'public' union) & coached the inexperienced, rough kids to make his life as miserable as possible. Nepotism supplied incoming teacher & they're right back to 'dumb druggies what can you do?' and haven't won a competition since. Disgusting. That was early Obama years. Light years worse now. It's exponential unearned elitist lookatme self-righteousness, self-justification & puffed up vanity serving their own destruction. Too blind to see it as they've not only turned from Christ who is the truth, the way & the life...but tolerant, realistic truth evident in the creature in general.
