For people asking about "safe places" to move to. There are many thoughts, inc. bugging out in place in a big city. That is do-able as long as you have some privacy and utilities (water) remain on, etc. Eventually, each person may need to decide what the line is they will not cross, where they choose to take a stand. The answer many people do not want to hear is that there are no totally safe places anymore, now that technology is so adept at tracking and surveilling people. Around the time of WWII, it could take days or longer to obtain information and locate a person. Now, it is instantaneous. However, it is still a matter of expediency and allocation of government resources and funding. It is unlikely there will be as much control over people living far from cities in isolated areas. Few bureaucrats will repeatedly travel down a long, muddy, dead end road to harass a person living in isolation in a humble home, far from no where, if they do not exhibit wealth. (stash and secure) Many liberals are allergic to work, and discomfort, too.

When I traveled in the old Soviet Union, religion was banned. Rural houses had long lost their curtains (=> clothing, blankets or just rotted away?). We could see into houses and see their religious Christmas decorations. Much may also depend on your building permit or tax status. I suspect 1-bedroom/1-bath homes will be less scrutinized. When social systems break down and people plunder, they will go where they think they can steal the most stuff. Long dead end roads can be intimidating as there is only one way in and out. They can be easily blocked in by felling a tree across the road. Long rough driveways behind sturdy locked gates discourage thieves because they would have to carry stuff too far. Local people know trails and the lay of the land. Where can you get food, water and people to support you? Perhaps most important, look for 2A sanctuary counties with lots of constitutional sheriffs.

UC Davis Medical Center is examining its own facilities and testing the same. This would appear to not be an unbiased study, even if the genome sequence testing is interesting to note.
