In central Wisconsin corporate farmlands -- I always think of the deer that consume the corn, potatoes, and other crops. Rabbits, pheasants, Sandhill Crane, etc. Some of these animals live and eat nearly exclusively in the toxic fields. We are hunting and consuming some of these animals, that dine on crops grown in soil that has been sprayed for years with a cocktail of chemicals, including glyphosate every year. And in the central Wisconsin sand country, the sand-point wells for human consumption are very shallow, I believe in some areas we find water at around 30 feet. I wonder how much glyphosate after all the years of seasonal spraying (innumerable 40-acre fields, many doused with glyphosate, sometimes 2x every season, as well as a cocktail of other sprays) is in our drinking water.

I have experienced nasty plant invasions and use roundup in limited circumstances. But to apply to something intended for consumption, especially human consumption, seems nuts. Organically grown has become more imortant. But I would like to see a label that is pesticide and herbicide free. Some soils are really deficient in nitrogen or other nutrients such as selenium. Newborn lambs can die of selenium deficiency or fail to thrive. I am fine with fertilizer but the organic label does not allow most fertilizers.

Farmers are being bribed for destroying their produce and their crops. They don’t realize that they won’t be able to eat dollars that will lose their value soon. Apart from introducing a new poison, Bayer must know that by 2023, there will be hardly any agriculture, so there will be no market for their poison.

"Notice US sales....but they can still sell it to other countries ....just like the did with DDT......LOL" Yes, we will continue eating and drinking glyphosate because it will be applied to crops in countries that export their agricultural products to the U.S. That includes, fruits, vegetables, tobacco, etc. grown with glyphosate, DDT, paraquat, etc. Those are countries that usually don't have government-enforced protections for agricultural workers, since that would make their food products too expensive. Supposedly, these anti-health chemicals are not used on imported organic foods.

OH yes......now Bayer can use up the millions of barrels of Agent Orange and Agent Purple and maybe toss in a million barrels of very nasty Depleted Uranium, thinking the goyum are mostly brain dead . To create a 'New weedkiller" like Round-up that Keeps on killing for years ...its even kills people....but according to Monsanto "Round-Up breaks down and becomes harmless"......we I know it doesn't break down...ever ....and will kill frogs and birds and snakes and anything that eats insects..as the insects eat plants and so do birds and cattle and lasts in water for years....and just keeps on KILLING..now your meat has roundup in it..and since glyphosate patent ran out years ago.....and company can make it and sell it under what ever names ... Notice US sales....but they can still sell it to other countries ....just like the did with DDT......LOL ... They have millions of barrels of DDT, and they might use it in the New and improved Roundup.lol.... But when the US legal thing was DDT was made Illegal in USA....so they sold it to many other countries. And they spray it on their exports and sell it to the USA......lol...yeah.keep dumping in that Fluoride in the waters and increase it in foods and toothpastes etc..cuz it really does make people STUPID....today many are dumb as a box of rocks

You don't have to be highly educated to know that even if glyphosate is stopped, the replacement will most likely be just as bad. These people are profit people,, not altruists, they could care less what their chemicals do to people or the environment. Interesting, because they live in this world, too.

They made it and loosed it on the unknowing world...don't look for it to 'disappear' anytime soon. Remember how long it took for DDT to be gone...there was enough out there that it was still being used years after it had been 'banned.' So it will be with the glyphosate... And the sad part is that it was loosed in the first place. Irrepairable damage has already been done... And once they have gotten away with this kind of thing (with little or no consequences--and NO, the monetary fines, etc. are not even a drop in the bucket compared to the total profit they had from the stuff), then it will happen again---just with another name for their poison...

The Altermative maybe as dangerous or more dangerous. 200 birds died due to a lawn guy putting Roundup in the ditch water birds drank and bathed in. Silent Spring as soon as the lawns were worked on in Spring.

I'm confused, in the first paragraph you say: AG Bayer’s Monsanto unit will stop selling glyphosate-based products in the U.S. And then you say: However, this is just part of a much larger war. We must all remember that this will not stop glyphosate being sprayed in parks, schools and on our food crops in ever greater amounts across the U.S. and the world. Which is it,--- it WILL NOT be sold and sprayed in the U.S. ----OR, it WILL be sold and sprayed ??
