God dag hele tiden! I was born and brought up in Norway (married an English woman and now living in the UK).

At 15 I was on a Norwegian Trawler. My first trip was off Icelandic waters so I know a little about being one of the "Last of the Hunters".

A cousin nvested in a salmon farm when they were first introduced to Norway. I was intrigued and went to see what was involved. I hung back on investing and was glad I did. Farmed salmon are toxic! End of story.

I remember growing up on the coast in Michigan and hearing the fishermen saying with excitement, "The coho are running." It's a type of freshwater salmon. I lived where Lake Huron meets St. Clair River.

Away from the ocean seems like a good location for a genetically modified salmon. Not everyone can afford wild salmon. And it could result in overfishing them.
