why post the opinion of some doctor who knows next to nothing about the law and who likely has a conflict of interest?Lets see what ACLU lawyers have to say about this issue… starting with, obviously if your name address abd birthdate are protected info then they can’t tell anything else about you if you do not want them to.

mirandola. Asking patients to silently fill out and sign forms in front of others in the same room is a routine procedure and is NOT a HIPPA violation. It has nothing to do with "sharing" your medical information (unless you yourself show them your completed form).

It's a violation of HIPAA for doctor's offices and their employees to ask you *in front of other patients* about your vaccination status. Let them know it, and don't care one iota about shaking heads which are only confessing ignorance anyway.

The last time we were in to see our doctor the receptionist handed us each clipboards and pens, asked if we would fill out the forms while we waited. The stack was 4 pages. In the midst of all of the questions, and many were repetitive, was the authorization for the sharing of our information. Would you believe that they actually requested to be allowed to share the information internationally "if requested?" Wait what?!
