There’s nothing wrong with those chickens. They are potential food for us and they don’t want us to have them.

My opinion is probably very contrarian. It seems man is destroying himself by not acting in harmony with nature as many of our traditional sources of food are disappearing. Factory food, GMOs, diseased livestock, worn out farmland, too many toxic chemicals, etc. Amazing how little I bought at the supermarket today. Only organic nonGMO ancient grains. I did not need anything else or consider it fit for human consumption. After seeing what was available--and how expensive--I decided our homegrown food was so much better. It seems fairly routine for us, but when I take food to share if we eat at someone's house, they consider what we eat a luxury.

I leave friends with leftover for which they are grateful... at today's high prices! Yes, in spite of covid, we still live our lives in a normal manner and socialize. We even hug people. Social interaction and regular exchanges of bacteria may keep a person healthy. (It used to be, that in multi-generational households, elders who had natural immunity from exposures in early life received a sort of natural "booster" when they were once again exposed to childhood diseases.) We remain healthy. I have moire confidence in my immune system than any vaxine. Perhaps I should attribute our healthy to our homegrown diet and supplements. We both seem to have strong immune systems. I do not consider myself high-risk simply due to age. I am a unique individual, not a statistic.
