The FDA has been reviewing tobacco products of all kinds and clamping down on flavored products, both in regular cigarettes and vape products

re: FDA Orders Juul E-Cigarettes Off the Shelves

I also don't trust the motives of the FDA. While vaping has been shown to have seriously hurt lungs in some people and cause weird pneumonias, it is not the nicotine itself that does this from what I've read. I've also read that smokers have some protection during a bout of covid due to nicotine's impact on certain receptors much like the impact of niacin. Yes, nicotine is addictive, but so are ssris, Ativan, and other meds, at least I see them that way as the people I know on them have a hard time getting off of them.

But this is a moot point. Is there some new "med" on the horizon that mimics nicotine's effect on the brain? If there is, I doubt it'll be safer than smoking. Leave smokers alone, to each his or her own. My sister, who lives in a board and care facility partially put there by psych meds and shock therapy, is a smoker. She tries to limit her cigarette use, but when she has one, she becomes calm and lucid. I'm not advocating smoking but we don't live forever either. If you don't want a cigarette don't have one.

NO, this is to see how far they can push it to get away with shutting down a business on a whim. Next will be gun shops or gun manufactures.

We heard that Covid attacked the lungs, but smokers were not succumbing in huge numbers or getting seriously ill. Dr. Bryan Ardis, among others, have theorized that nicotine seems to "shut down" some of the maliciousness of Covid. Don't know if I'm saying that correctly. At any rate, getting rid of nicotine = less protection for people, especially smokers. What if this play to rid us of "dangerous nicotine" is just another way to remove an agent that could be helpful against disease.....I don't trust these governing bodies to do ANYTHING to help humanity, only to hurt them.

It must cure something.
