Their net and gross profit is in the billions. When you make 10 billion and pay 5 billion in fines, you’re still 5 billion in the black. I’m sure the CEO’s are licking their chops and laughing as they plan for next year’s distribution of Rockefeller type medicines. Perhaps a better fine would be to add 5 years prison time for each of the two company’s CEO’s. And I don’t mean an Epstein type jail sentence. Send them to 5 years in a place like Angola.

Following the model of Monsanto and Obama, Biden will appoint the CEO of the largest manufacturer of opioids as the surgeon general.

This is a joke, as always the government gets the money and gives it out to their friends . The settlement could be traced back to those that died , but it won’t be. As usual

In a way, I think this is misplaced. They were dispensing drugs that doctors prescribed. The doctors are responsible, but the pharmacies have deeper pockets. When dispensing, the pharmacies may have told patients that the opioids can be addictive. I don't know if that's in the list of side effects. What could they have done if they felt too many opioid prescriptions were being dispensed?
