On the shelf next to the fake sewage raised stuff it’s like night and day. Wild caught nice and deep red, sewage raised, almost white with a pink tint.no thanks!

Doing it well costs more. Higher cost items don't sell as well, especially in in hard times. I prefer wild salmon and get it when I can, though the oceans also have plenty of toxins. I'm counting on my health to maintain my body's filters to control the toxins from wild or farmed fish. Everything is a tradeoff. All salmon has benefits, all has risks. Our only way to calculate them is with a well equipped lab, or relying on reputable supply chains. I get my salmon at Costco, and have recently noticed they are often out of wild fish, but always have lots of farmed, which is usually fatter, moister and tastier than the wild.

I'm curious whether the availability is from fisheries problems or Costco decisions. I suspect Costco makes more profit from wild so they would prefer to stock that if they can get it. And if wonder if AquaBounty's financial problems are because they grow cleaner fish and are uncompetitive due to higher costs. The solution is probably to teach more people to make smarter food choices, which our government and doctors don't do. Our health is not profitable.

The main problem is an ingredient in the fish feed that is toxic. And you cannot get the companies to let you know whether that ingredient is in the feed. I can't remember what it's called; it's some chemical-type substance
