The only legitimate purpose of government is military: it protects the population from the incursions of other governments. The “founding fathers” did their best to create a form of government that would foster effective “national defense” without becoming involved in wars of foreign aggression. But soon after it was created, the American government attacked Quebec, without provocation and with the intention of incorporating Canada into the American hegemony. After the American Civil War, which was fostered and financed by British banksters, the country was infested with British corporations, which the founding fathers correctly regarded as a social and political menace.

They had witnessed for themselves how British corporations had impoverished the British population, and they sought banish them from America. The sole purpose of corporations is to avoid taxes and regulations to exaggerate profits while protecting their owners and agents from responsibility in the form of lawsuits. They amount to a license to commit mass murder with abandon, and that is exactly what they have consistently done. My favorite example, which is but one of many, is the Union Carbide pesticide factory that was located in the densely populated city of Bhopal, India, and subsequently leaked a WWI poison gas into the atmosphere that killed and maimed thousands of Indians in their sleep.

Instead of taking responsibility for this disaster, Union Carbide sold off its assets and disappeared, leaving the Indian government to deal with the disaster. One need not look far to find numerous similar examples. Soon after the Civil War, the corporations had more money than the federal government, and they used the power of their wealth to impose central banking in preparation for WWI, and dominate American business. By that time, the "American experiment" was all but over

An industrial economy, per a 1964 Economic Geography class, needs 21 natural resources. Russia, USSR at the time, had 19. All of Europe had 11 as did the USA. Explained to me the repeated invasions. I do not know what is in Putin's or Russians' minds, but it is probable they were very sensitive to the goings on in Ukraine. I am against all wars, but the provocation the Russians saw in Ukraine and the relentless killings of Russian speakers in the Donbass seems a rather deliberate provocation to war. As is said "The truth is the first casualty of war." Perhaps way down the line someone will write a book that explains it all. In the meantime weapons manufacturers are getting richer, while people are dying and children are starving and people in America are homeless.
