I and a lot of other people on Earth still eat animal flesh, amino acids not found anyplace else I read; We have not yet found a nutritionally complete replacement. I admire the vegans They are experimenting with their health for an admirable reason. I like a product called beyond beef: Soy based like a lot of plant based "almost meat" is. I think a future world is one that does not raise and slaughter our fellow evolving sentient beings on Earth for sport or food. Or torture them in med labs, or trap and skin them, or round up pets and stray dogs and boil them alive to eat for a festival.

Another country does this traditionally with whole pods of dozens of trapped dolphins---the whole family gets out and slaughters them for sport, annually. Trapping, etc. is an unnecessary, archaic, cruel, but big business with China the main customer for American trappers, who likely have a consciousness I wouldn't want to be in the same room with... It is way past the time to pivot away from heartless barbaric consciousness, so prevalent now it's dizzying at best.

We need to strive to go into the next Age, not backpedal into the Dark Ages like we are doing. Animal treatment is only one of many behaviors that hold us back, if not condemn us to endless consequence: karma, as predictable and exacting as sunrise.A Truth, despite your beliefs or disbeliefs, and presently is defiled and corrupted and denied like most vital Truths in our civiliation now. Who will lead us out of this?

What a waste of resources. Just think of the good that could have been accomplished if the time, money, and resources for this crap was used for education and providing healthy natural food.

something similar was on abc's shark tank last year. Umaro Foods - they were making fake bacon out of seaweed. it was so bad, one of the "sharks" (robert herjavec) immediately spit it out. i know seaweed is nutritious, i'm not sure how much nutrition is removed when they process it. also, i love bacon as much as the next guy, but i'd much rather have seaweed salad, it's delicious. i'd rather them focus their efforts on figuring out distribution methods to get us more fresh products than making fake meat-like products.

More 4th Industrial Revolution Insanity. Maybe they can also brew a new beer to go with that so called meat. They can call it an IPA aka, "Industrial Pig Algae", it's light and heavy with just a hint of swampiness. Yum?
