If "lunch meats, high processed cheese, and mindless carbs" are considered a dietary evil, how can this be? Read a box of lunchables and many have high fructose corn syrup and monosodium glutamate (MSG).

IT ALL SUCKS. Who is the woman in South Florida who owns and runs the school where the kids DID NOT have to wear a mask in the height of all the nonsense? She has an amazing cafeteria full of REAL food. It CAN be done.

We have had lunch? with our granddaughter a few times...enough to make you want to toss your cookies! And these poor kids have no time to eat--they "wolf" their "food?"...most of them come away with poor eating methods as well as poor quality food! And we wonder why our kids have more diseases such as diabetes at much younger ages than the generation before? These eating methods become ingrained in these kids...they do not know HOW to eat, much less WHAT to eat! We have become lazy as a group by allowing others to dictate what and when we feed our kids, as well as what is taught to them (but then, that is another subject) ... if we don't wake up soon it will be too late...we will have lost an entire generation to our nonchalance and laziness.

Not sure why I am suddenly outraged every time there is a commercial or magazine ad. Do I suddenly have a heightened sense of awareness, a lowered tolerance for BS or has this kind of advertising significantly increased? More and more, I find just looking at such "food" nauseating. I don't even want to see pictures of it. It is so obviously crap. I pretty much go to the grocery store at least once a week, whether I need to or not. Just to check on inflationary pressures and see whether there are any bargains to stock up on, esp. shelf-stable items. I am noticing how little of avail food is fit for human consumption--even as animal feed. The quality is so poor.

I am not only talking about rotten produce, or produce picked too green, but the ingredients listed. Most of this stuff does not belong in real food. I feel esp. fortunate to have a well-stocked pantry and be able to start planning my garden during times like these. Today, I spent less than $5 on food. We do without more things nowadays, either due to shortages or my unwillingness to pay high prices. We do not go hungry, though. I said a prayer of gratitude last night for the abundance in our lives. It is not at all bad, just different. Nothing special in our lives. No secrets to success. We just take one day at a time, watch for opportunities and do our best every day.

We don't feed them right, we often don't give them enough of our time and attention, and then we push unsafe and often unnecessary vaccines on them. Does this represent some sort of death wish for the American population?
