I've maintained a well above average D3 level for years. Minimum of 5,000 IU per day with magnesium, potassium, and calcium along with K2-MK7 and a bunch of other supplements. Maybe that's how I survived the Fauci flu. While I now have chronic Afib as a result, it is nowhere near as bad as it was two years ago. Intermittent maximum energy expenditure while cycling hills has been helping immensely. I'm not a spring chicken either. Rather a cranky old rooster.

I get mine from sunshine almost every day.

During Covid, I misread the bottle and thought I was taking 500 units per gummy but it was 5000 ! And my numbers were over 200 ( i think 220). I was eating 8-10 gummies... along with getting adequate D from the sun.

The only thing that matters with D is the blood level. Everyone needs a unique dose to reach the same level. Obese need to know how much higher the needed dose is. My Rx after testing at a dangerous 6ng/ml was what I thought sounded a high 5,000IU/day, but once Covid hit and I started reading every study, I soon learned my very short BMI=44 needed much much more. 20,000IU got me above 50ng/ml in a few months before a nearly asymptomatic Delta!

Some people take 5.000 or more IUs/ day. This is an old study and even higher doses should be evaluated.
