I was on adderall and Vyvanse for around 6 years. I finally stopped and haven’t had any in years and I feel so much better off of that garbage. I will admit after awhile it makes you want to take more. You think your getting things done until your family says that your actually getting less done and hyper focusing on a single thing. They slowly raise your dose add 30 more pills a month. It wasn’t helping me and the honest truth that I had to come to realize myself is that I never needed it in the first place. Any of it and I got addicted. It’s legal speed and that is the truth. You can’t focus at school or get homework done. You have to buckle down and make yourself do it. I do so much better without that crap. I just wanted to be honest. Like I said I really don’t think anyone needs to Be on it.

No matter what your opinion of Adderall is, the shortage is weird and likely planned by the FDA. As a physician, I received an email from the FDA about the shortage. It started off saying something like, "Methamphetamine addiction takes x number of lives every year." Say what? Dear FDA, you aren't even trying to hide your bias! You think that there are too many people on Adderall, and so you are linking the shortage to helping Meth addicts. Sorry: I'm a physician and I am not buying it. Meth you make in your camper in the woods and Adderall for ADHD are similar but also completely different.

BETWEEN COST AND SCARCITY, THE SHORTAGE IS PREVENTING A SMOOTH TRANSITION INTO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS THAT NEED THESE DRUGS TO REGULATE THEIR EMOTIONS, THE HILL REPORTED. This is sick! Basically they are saying students need to be high to complete school work. What kind of college students is this nation producing? Drugged up! Stoned! Addicted!
