MY question is how he got permission from the government to do this? Medical devices are supposed to go through rigorous testing and obtain FDA approval before experimenting on humans. Oh wait I forgot ;Covid shots. FDA, CDC, NIH, NIAID, are all run by pharma, military and corporations now. The only reason the let Elon do this is they plan on using it for military reasons later. The Burzinski doctors in Houston,TX have been curing late stage cancer that failed conventional treatments for years and the government has tried to shut them down 110 times. Can't have them cutting cut into the chemo/radiation revenue stream.

Just before seeing this news I watched a science fiction movie "Static" based on a device like this and it even looked similar. In the movie three friends have the devices implanted in themselves to see if they work and they do but then the devices malfunction in a horrible way but the inventor finds he can mentally tap into peoples minds through telepathy and control them. The movie can be watched for free on Tubi.com

Article says it's a telepathy device. What? That's a joke, right! It is a man made electronic device that must produce a signal that communicates with some other device that receives the signal. That is not true telepathy. I can foresee a brain hacking scenario if this progresses. What is the power source for this Neuralink? Do you have batteries in your brain with the Neuralink? This all sounds so wrong as so many disastrous things can happen. But this all relates to Elon Musk's transhumanist lineage, so it makes perfect sense that he is doing stuff like this.

Can't imagine being OK with this, other than providing the ability to stop or lessen the effects of dementia, enhancing vision & hearing and helping those who've had spinal injuries. There would need to be controls that would absolutely prevent any external source from accessing the chip.
