Fermented veggies like sauerkraut seemed to help but the great thing with the beta in and pepsin' tablets is I could measure really easy how much and could take them with any meal. Sauwercraut with your blue berries and cream was just wrong.

Requiring surgery I was developing Barrett's disease, a sever potentially cancerous cells forming and had an ulcer from hell. I took PPI for 18 months high dose, surgeon Dr said to take them for ever. After surgery I watched my food and corresponding reflux I cut out. Flour, sugar, coffee, alcohol, I upped vegetables. And pro buitics. But the key thing I did was when inate a medium meal or a fatty meal I had some pepsin and betaine hcl. This is basically hydrochloride acid once digested, which boosted my stomach acid, I took them at meal times. Bingo reflux now is a non issue if I stick to the plan. I also now sleep on my left side rather than back or belly. I eat early dinners, I upped my water consumption. It isn't a quick or easy win, but the PPI were not consistent and I just didn't trust that screwing with your stomach by suppressing the acid was going to be long term healthy.
