Do you realize that Oregon State is burning to the ground? This would be a last resort measure to save the forest, homes & possibly people depending on which way the fire goes. We wouldn't be consuming that water. They once emptied the reservoir completely because a teenager snuck in and urinated in it. I'm CERTAIN that they would be flushing the water IF they do use the flame retardants. While I am usually against the use of such harsh chemicals, there's a time & a place. While I am holed up in my house having asthma attack after asthma attack because the smoke & ashes are so severe - I am hoping they take all measures necessary to save our beautiful, one of a kind Pacific Northwest.
