the messenger the only thing to keep from getting it is don't swim in the ocean. that thing is deadly . if that gets in a cut you only have 24 to 48 hours to live.

Craig Venter made that bacteria, its called Synthia, anyone who comes in contact with it ought to sue that scientist, and make him tell the people who paid him twenty million dollars to make it. he said it was supposed to eat the oil from the gulf oil spill.

Synthia, a synthetic species of bacterium derived from the genome of Mycoplasma genitalium, undertaken at the J. Craig Venter Institute, designed to eat oil in the Gulf of Mexico is hungry and is eating all living organisms. It appears that the bacterium has mutated and now is attacking humans and animals.

This deadly microorganism is heading for Europe, writes researcher and analyst Jean Perier for New Eastern Outlook. After the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Washington decided in 2010 to create an artificial bacteria to clean up the oil.

I am in the ocean and bay water a lot over summer. We have had a few cases in my neck of the woods but no deaths. I was hoping for more information on avoidance and treatments. I heard that you need to avoid stagnate water. Also would large doses of vitamin C or silver help?
