&lt;p&gt;I think being outdoors a lot and having chores to do goes a long ways to preventing depression. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Natural light influences the brain via the optic nerve. &amp;nbsp;I do not think sitting under artificial light is healthy. &amp;nbsp;Movement is life--when you quit moving, you die. &amp;nbsp;So, just get outdoors and do something... anything.&lt;/p&gt;
