Companies like Taco Bell, Subway and Panera Bread have all recently moved to nix artificial ingredients from their menus. In 2016, McDonald's eliminated artificial preservatives from its McNuggets and ditched high fructose corn syrup in its buns. Earlier this year, the company replaced frozen beef with fresh beef in its Quarter Pounders. Its seven classic burgers -- the hamburger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, McDouble, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, double Quarter Pounder with Cheese and Big Mac -- will no longer include artificial preservatives, flavors or coloring. The change affects every part of the sandwich, from the bun, to the cheese and the sauce.

The iconic Big Mac Special Sauce is also being reformulated. McDonald's said it's removing artificial preservatives including potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate and calcium disodium EDTA without "sacrificing that signature taste." But one thing that isn't changing? The pickle. Those still contain an artificial preservative money.cnn.com/.../index.html Of course as mentioned, cafo sourcing of meat is a whole other issue.

McDonald's (MCD) said it stripped components like calcium propionate, an artificial preservative, from its buns and eliminated sorbic acid, a preservative, from its American cheese. Note that calcium proprionate contributes toward the conditions that favor autism development. Propionibacterium species in the gut can ferment sugars into propionic acid as their main fermentation product as well. articles.mercola.com/.../propionate-linked-to-diabetes-autism.aspx Role of propionic acid in autism - see the zinc/shank3 - butyrate/propionate section of my autism research I've compiled so far. https://tgl.ink/v0VrgZ

The recipient of the joke new nothing of the burger in the shoe for many months, in his trunk. It was in there during a summer all summer long (Hot). When he came across it many many months later he took it and whipped it on the wall, it Bounced off. Still looking and smelling like the day his friend had shoved it in there. I think it may have even been in a sock in the shoe. Heard this story over 20 yrs ago but always remembered it.
