For an orderly recovery, people need to be back to work by planting time. I think we will learn to live with this virus for quite a while.

Someone posted this on Twitter upset by conflicting content in President's latest tweets - read and make your own decision: www.caltech.edu/.../tip-iceberg-virologist-david-ho-bs-74-speaks-about-covid-19 - makes more sense to me.

The corona infection is on a steep acceleration slope in the US right now. People who are getting infected today will be close to their most infectious days by Easter. So, how can a government official even think about Easter as a target date to get life back to normal, let alone mention that to the public?

Yes, there will be people who will suffer serious mental issues as a result of not having money to provide for their family. In some cases, this may also lead to suicides, which, of course, is a very sad thing. However, this can be prevented (relatively easily) by the government by handing out money to citizens. Wishing and saying that the corona pandemic should go away before Easter is totally unrealistic. It is time that government officials start to rely on science based analyses and advice.

We need to take social distancing seriously. Hopefully, if the shutdown ends too soon, we can still telecommute.

During self-isolation, I exercise with a magnetic trainer and do resistance training. We can also do household chores or take up a hobby to stay busy. I'm learning 3D printing, which kept me busy.

Even with no one around outside, we're taking a risk by going out. There's a possibility of spreading the virus on crosswalk push-buttons. The last time I went out, a customer leaving a market passed me clearly within six feet so stay safe!
