Eye Fungus Problems Spread, Lawsuits Filed

Earlier this week, I told you about the nasty eye fungus connected to Bausch and Lomb's MoistureLoc contact lens cleaner that's spreading across America. The company confirmed a handful of cases have popped up in Europe too.

Even worse, the CDC says 27 percent of the existing cases are connected to another product, Bausch and Lomb's ReNu MultiPlus lens cleaner. Yet, health officials remain stumped as to how Fusarium keratitis got there in the first place.

That's not all of the bad news for Bausch and Lomb. More than 100 lawsuits have been filed, including a very tragic one: A 69-year-old West Palm Beach, Fla., woman whose problems with MoistureLoc caused her to lose an eye.
