Prostate Cancer Treatment Often Unnecessary and Harmful
Most men diagnosed with low-grade prostate cancer do not need drastic treatments like surgery or radiotherapy. In fact, while the treatments can cause incontinence and impotence, most men who are not treated will live out their natural lifespan without experiencing any ill effects from the disease, a study at the Institute of Cancer Research in England found.
Further, a man between the ages of 55 and 59 with low-grade prostate cancer has only a one in 100 chance of dying within 15 years, even without treatment. While most prostate cancers are slow-growing, and most men are unlikely to die from it, you can still reduce your risks (and treat existing prostate cancer) by using these natural tools.
