Freud Used to Control the Masses

If you been keeping up with my blog for any length of time, you know how often and easily big business manipulates the public to do what it wants, and, more often than not, fraudulently.

You may not be aware, however, at the heart of all this deception are experts like Edward L. Bernays, called the Father of Spin and so-called inventor of public relations, who so deftly manipulated the perceptions of the public by taking advantage of the principles of psychology developed by his uncle, Sigmund Freud.

With that in mind, you'll want to set aside some free time to watch The Journey of the Self, the acclaimed 2002 BBC documentary by Adam Curtis. This four-part documentary explains the impact of Freud's many theories about the mind that politicians and companies far and wide have mastered over the past century to engineer society's consent and grow mass consumerism throughout the free world.

And, you certainly can't trust the mass media to learn the truth, as they do nothing more than confuse you with misinformation, all in the pursuit of the almighty dollar.

Never listen to someone who is a morphine addict for medical or mental advice, as Freud was reported to be, I guess is the take away message here....

Of course, along with keeping the figurative kevlar jacket zipped, beware advice when it comes to hidden profit motive agenda's from your Uncle Sam, or those supporting Uncle Sam's employees, through corrupt lobbying...

Rely on the person you see in the mirror to control your own health and own well being....

...but, remember, you can't fool all of the people all of the time. There is still hope.

I agree with Russ and mmc88121. Maybe it is time to kill our televisions?

Russ I agree the only one totally responsible for your own health is you.  When you have children you are responsible for their health until they are grown.  But you never stop caring about them.  Always ask yourself these two questions about any advertising you might see.  Who is doing the advertising.  Do I really need this __________ or do I have something that works just as well.

I would say that the parent's responsibility extends beyond being grown...as adults only know what they have been taught or know to seek. If they were raised to just accept whatever chemical the omniscient Dr. gives them, that will continue beyond leaving the nest until death or  an eye opening event.

As I was reading the article I realized the "Freud" is just one letter from "Fraud".

RAGdoll, I just came to the same conclusion BEFORE  I read your  comment.  Now I will probably confuse both words.

Personally I read about that years ago. The ideas of Freud were partly borne out of an intent to release a person from guilt. In an attempt to release people from the guilt they felt everytime they commited a sin, Freud sought to explain all actions from the point of view of the subconscious mind. So that your actions were not really you doing it, but your unconscious mind which you have NO control over.

The medical community has also latched onto this same fallicy which is why they're attempting to explain all disease that they don't want to cure in terms of "Genetic predispositioni", what a LIE.

It's the same idea, but instead of blaming the subconscious mind, they're now blaming your genes instead, attempting to remove personal responsibility and discipline from the equation altogether.

While there may be some truth to the subconscious mind and genes having an influence to some degree, it's no where NEAR the All Powerful influence that they're making it out to be.
